Decent phone, nothing fancy September 23, 2012

Reviewer:  freebired

I've had this phone for about two weeks, and it was a good buy. Very basic. Just what I was going for.
Pros:
-Excellent call quality. everyone is heard/hears me loud and clear. I live in a rural area, and still get pretty strong reception.
-Easy access to folders containing photos, music, etc.
-Seemingly sturdy construction. The flip screen is not flimsy and has a solid snap open and close.
-Battery life is great. I'm currently on day 6 of one charge, and I expect at least another day and a half.
-Keypad is nice and big. Easy to read and use even at night.

Cons:
-Not very customizeable. You can change some font colors, select between a few stock ringtones, change the background picture, but that's about it.
-Some functions are somewhat convoluted. Seems like there could be better, more streamlined ways to access certain functions.
-The external display does not light up unless you have just closed the phone or received a call/message. You can't press a button to check the time or anything. Just an annoyance.
-As for text messaging, T9 is the default setting. You can change to ABC if you want, but there is no way to permanently change it from T9. But that's just a personal preference.

Overall, a good basic phone. Some minor changes could be made, but I'm not picky. Makes great calls. I'd recommend if you don't need the frills of a smartphone.
