Avoid this phone

This phone is garbage. The HTC sense (interface application) crashes on a pretty regular basis.
The phone must not like my ringtone selections, because it randomly reassigns Mp3s on my SD card to people whenever it wants.
The keyboard is horrible, when texting, it will show 2 letters or so, then freeze during your next 10-15 taps, is it going to type them out when it's done freezing? Only the phone knows!!!
the video camera skips when recording, making it look as if I am filming my 5 month old having siezures.
somtimes, it turns off the music playing when I make a call through bluetooth, sometimes it blares loud music into my ear when I'm trying to talk.
The phone app likes to crash and lock up on me, perfect when I have to make an important call.
The email inbox is useless, on my droidx, I had delete reply and forward commands right on the reading screen, here I get to open the menu to perform such simple functions.
the other night, I was listening to Pandora in the car. When I got out of the car and shut down pandora, the phone decided I wasn't done listening to music, so it took it upon itself to blare 2 different MP3s at the same time, while cycling through my applications and crasing the interface. That was awesome. I tried to hold down the power button to force a restart, but after 2 solid minutes of it telling me to please wait, while blasting 2 different songs, I decided to remove the battery to boot it up.
Another minor irritation is that the "call" and "end Call" button are the same, so sometimes when you hang up from a call, due to the incredible unresponsiveness of this piece of junk, it redials the person you just finished talking to.
In conclusion, instead of this phone, I would recommend: quitting your job, selling all of your posessions, leaving your friends and family without any warning and moving to a remote mountain cave, cut off from all civilization as an alternative to how difficult this piece of equipment makes communicating with them.

I originally ordered the new droid razor but my order was jacked up and I couldn't get the phone for one cent when I tried to re order it so I ended up finding the droid incredible for the same price. So far the phone hasn't given me any problems but i've only had it for approx. 3 weeks now..(knock on wood). The only thing i'm pissed about is my bill which is suppose to be $109.00 a month but is instead $219.00!! what the hell!! I just may be paying the $350 to send Verizon back where they came from.

I like the phone - it is fun, fast, and convenient, but the battery life stinks. If they ever get the battery life straightened out, I will love the phone.
Fast, great screen and just got Gingerbread!

I gave up my Droid X and my iPhone 4 for this. I hated the iPhone for it being so boring. The Droid X was awesome but, I just loved the size and feel of the Incredible 2. My fiance has the OG Incredible and her battery doesn't last half of what mine does. The battery is awesome and it is quick and fluent. If you are looking for a good phone with a great service, then this is it. Even if it doesn't have 4G, I can wait until my upgrade for an awesome 4G phone.

Don't bother choosing a "plan" unless you are willing to pay WAY more than what the plan price says. A minimum of $30 more/month, making the $40/mo actually $70/mo, for example.

About half the time when I receive a call and would pull the phone out of my pocket, the phone would have already either made the call active or would have hung up on the caller. It answers calls with a slider on the screen and whether it hangs up or answers the incoming call depends on which end you put the phone into your pocket. There does not seem to be a fix around it. Because of this basic flaw, I cannot sincerely recommend this phone.

I've had this for just at a year now. It was recently replaced under warranty (factory rebuild) because I got fed up enough to complain and decided to endure the long hold times, switching of representatives and repeat of information that I have to go through whenever I have a problem (Veerizon).
1) The phone would occasionally just drop entries from my phone list.
2) It would spontaneously make phone calls even while sitting on a table or car seat, untouched by human hands. Often, but not always, this was to the last number that I intentionally called. This still happens with the "new" pohone, but not nearly as often.
3) The camera would go into "blink" mode after taking one picture. It was then unusable. With the old phone, a reset would generally cure the problem. But my "new" replacement phone soon developed the same problem and a reset does NOT cure it. Take one picture and the blinking starts again.
The SD card and the internal memory were not accessible via computer as directed by the setup program and information was not always saved to the directed destination.
Although the phone list is backed up, the apps, voice recordings, text messages, ringtones and more are not saved. Changing phones or even a hard reset (with assist from Verizon) loses all of this. Major pain.

I really love my incredible 2. It has been one of the most reliable phones I have ever had. The battery life is good for me. I can go all day with moderate use and not have to recharge. The look and feel are great. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

I bought this phone for my daughter because Verizon is the only carrier with adequate coverage where she lives. It's a fine phone; there's no 4G, but otherwise it's responsive and a comfortable size. It runs Gingerbread (we got an update from Froyo shortly after turning it on).
The problem with the phone is the Verizon and HTC software. It comes with Verizon's junk and I am not a fan of HTC sense. I can see the thought process associated with the contact app, for example, but the stock Android app is so much cleaner and (for me) straightforward to use. When I use Sense, I understand why people complain about Android being confusing. Why not give users a choice? When I use a phone like this I understand why Google might want to make its own phones.
5 stars for the phone, 1 star for the software.

I've bought this phone Nov 10, took it back Nov 22,got a new one& tomorrow I'm taking this one back. I like have no service, phone calls going directly to voice mail, text messages disappear before finished, I could go on & On. I've been back to best buy where I bought the phone at least 5 times--verizon store--and on the phone to verizon at least 6 times---I hate this phone! What a waste of time. My busines has suffered as dont get messages for hours.

This phone makes the iPhone seem boring. All the apps one could want. Great looking and feel of quality. Plenty of memory and power. The 4G is a long time coming to my "neck of the woods". 3G is just fine... and I don't have to lug a larger plank in my pocket... or pay more for the "latest and greatest". This is ALL THAT I NEED OR WANT.

Here's my impression of the phone...
1. nice looking, good size, light
2. responsive and easy to use
3. battery actually lasts a full day
4. fast 3G..I don't watch video so this is good enough for me to check news, sell/buy stocks
5. Horrible reception. Once inside the building, the reception will disappear and the phone will drain every ounce of its battery to fruitless search signal.
--for this problem, I checked with every one on my floor who uses Verizon and it seems to me HTC Incredible 2 is the only cell has the problem.
So return the and will try to pay $149 for Samsung Charge, so hopefully it will work out.
Good luck on your search

I bought my phone back at the end of August for $200 with an upgrade, and now they are selling them for a penny! The reason is this, the phone is JUNK! My phone has a bad habit of cutting me out of calls. This can sometimes last for an entire day. It isn't that I live in the boon docks where service is unavailable, I live in the city! My verizon app completely shuts the phone down so I had to uninstall it, which is really inconvenient for me because I was used to paying my bill with my phone.
Overall I am unhappy! And I am even more unhappy to see the price drop already seeing as how I bought mine when it was a new product! The only redeeming quality it really has is the camera. Dont buy it. Get an iphone!
I've had 3 since July 1, 2011. They are crap!!!

This was my first smartphone. I researched smartphones extensively before I decided upon this model. At the time in Verizon stores the employees were shoving Iphones down your throats when you walked in the doors. That turned me off immediately. How I wish I would have listended to them. I've been plagued by dropped calls, dropped audio, random texts sent from my phone to people I don't even know while I'm sleeping, recorded messages from Verizon saying the apps I'm trying to use don't work and hanging up on me while I'm not even using apps, recordings from Verizon saying my call cannot be made at this time, please try again later. I've had two Level 2 tech support tickets open and closed by Verizon where they can find no problem with their network or my 3 different phones they have sent to me. My phone doesn't work at my daughters home at all while she and her husband both have Droids as their only phones (No landline) and theirs work with no problems. Theirs aren't this model either. At the time I bought this model it was the highest rated Droid by CNET and ZDNET. I don't know what I did wrong by choosing this phone but after I bought mine I recommended it to my best friend who got one and she has had no problems with hers. However, she is a light cellphone user and has a landline phone. I do not and am a heavy cellphone user.
Battery is HORRIBLE

Based on the other reviews (here and on the droid forums), I expected to get a day out of my phone and be able to charge at night when I go to bed (or at least get thru an 8 hour workday), since I hardly use my phone. I use it for occasional email checks, facebook checks, and 1-2 ten minute phone calls per day. I have spent a week reading everything on the internet about what to do to help the battery. All my settings are what is recommended. All recommended things are turned off, even auto-sync, bluetooth, gps, wifi. Brightness on the lowest setting possible, so low it's hard to see the screen at times. I don't use the phone much, and it dies within 4 hours with any use, 6 hours if I don't touch it. This is my second Inc 2. I took the first one back b/c I thought I got a bad one, but this one is acting the exact same way. Oh, and I've also done the full charge, discharge cycle that is recommended by HTC. The phone itself is great, but without a functioning battery, you really can't use it, so it's pointless. It's like saying "It's a great car, but the engine doesn't work". Well, that makes it a bad car. I may switch and try the Droid X2. Maybe it won't end up any better, but nothing could be worse than this, other than not having a phone, although at least that would be cheaper. Open to any comments or suggestions, as I'm highly frustrated.

I've had my HTC Incredible 2 for about a week now, and though it's very high tech ( the envy of all ), very fast, very nice big screen, etc. - it does have a lot of features which will take some time trying, reading about, and calling techie friends/relatives for explanation.
Yes, it's my 1st smartphone, but I'm not really a computer illiterate - I actually majored in Computer Science about 20 years ago. That was then, and now is now. I'm not lost, but most of the functions are not very intuitive. The 8Mpx camera and HD video are the main reasons I got the phone, and while they work OK, a real micro camera is way better. The web experience is a pain in the rear - small screen, very small icons to try to touch, etc., I can't complain about the speed, though - it is fast. For serious web work, though, I much prefer a real computer.
The Verizon V Cast Media Manager ( free download ) allowed me to load pictures and music from my home computer, no sweat. The pics look very nice on the bright, 4" screen and the music sounds fantastic through my Klipsch S4 earbuds.
The battery life is not real good - it will go a day if I'm not on the phone very much, but I suppose that's a result of that big, bright screen. I turned off the Verizon backup which comes on daily to backup contacts, etc. - that seemed to suck the battery pretty bad. I also keep the navigation turned off unless I need it.
When all is said and done, I almost wish that I had gone with the LG Octane that I got for my wife in order to save the $30/mo data fee. Almost....but not quite!
