The Curve 8320 delivers the legendary BlackBerry email experience. With BlackBerry service plans from AT&T, you can receive emails instantaneously from up to 10 email accounts (personal and enterprise). With BlackBerry push technology, you don't need to retrieve your email. BlackBerry devices are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network, allowing you to be discreetly notified as new email arrives. Support is also built-in for viewing email attachments (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, and PDF formats).

Phone Features
The Curve is fashioned with subtly curving corners and chrome highlights. Measuring 4.2 x 2.4 inches, the Curve is just as slim as the Pearl (0.6 inches) and weighs in at 3.9 ounces--just 0.7 ounces heavier than its predecessor. It features a bright 2.5-inch color TFT screen that provides 65,000 colors and a 320 x 240-pixel resolution, and it includes a light-sensing feature that automatically adjusts backlighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments. Like the BlackBerry 8800, the Curve includes a trackball navigation system located on the top of the QWERTY keypad, and it also features an integrated spell checker with a customizable dictionary to help maintain accuracy while on the go. It has 64 MB of internal ROM memory, and is expandable using MicroSD memory cards. The battery provides up to 4 hours (240 minutes) of talk time and up to 17 days (408 hours) of standby time.

Listen to your favorite music and watch downloaded videos using the included stereo headset, or use an optional wireless headphone thanks to the Curve's support for the Bluetooth stereo audio profile (A2DP/AVRCP). The Curve is compatible with a wide variety of file formats, including MP3, WMA and AAC/AAC+/eAAC+ audio and WMV, MPEG4 and H.263 video. Dedicated volume controls are conveniently located on the side of the handset.
With the Voice-Activated Dialing (VAD) feature, you can initiate a call just by telling the Curve who to call from your contact list--either via the integrated speakerphone or using an optional Bluetooth wireless headset. Other advanced phone features include advanced sound technology that cancels out background noise and echo, dedicated volume and mute keys, and the ability to customize the Curve with polyphonic and MP3 ringtones.

Nice phone but has a few major disappointments

I bought this phone a month ago.
A selling point was free Wifi, among other features.
Wifi is free but "data" is not, that is unless one turns off manually the AT&T network before connecting to the internet, as the phone will still transmit data , (thus you will be charged).
While the network is off you will not be able to receive phone call, so remember to manually turn the AT&T Network on again when done with the "Free WiFi"
PROS;
Keyboard works good, easier to type than on screen keyboard, at least thats what I found.
Call quality is great, much better than the Razr I had previously.
The reception is also better. The Moto Razr had poor reception at my work place , the Blackberry 8320 gets clearly better reception.
The ringer is louder than the Razr also, which suites me because I work in a noisy building.
The phone has many feature.
I've added movies, games, ring tones,and documents with a small amount of effort to learn "How Too".
CONS;
Documentation is poor, there are many different versions of this phone, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon models seem to all have differences, so the generic book you download from BBerry is just that, not specific.
Another major disappointment was that the maps that is downloadable from Blackberry is not compatible with the AT&T's version of the 8320.
AT&T's version does not have GPS either, (at least I could not seem to get it) another disappointment.
(However you can use Google Maps with this phone)

However there is a learning curve to this phone, (no pun intended).
When I went to my local AT&T's store to check out the phone, they did not have it in store, in fact the salesman argued with me that such a model did not even exist or surely they would have had it in the store,
(The next day I ordered it from their Web site).
With so many features I guess its hard to expect to take a phone out of the box and expect to learn how to use it without spending some time.

I really enjoyed the ability to copy and paste phone numbers from any application to wherever I needed it, BUT only two weeks after having the phone I turned it on and received a white screen stating "jvm error code 102". Well needless to say that's all it took for me because I was really needing to utilize the phone at that time. I continued to click reset but it would only return to that screen. So, I returned the phone for a refund and never looked back.

I really don't know where to start with this phone. This is by far the best phone that I have ever owned and I've been through a lot of phones over the years. This review is for the Curve 8320 in Sapphire Blue for ATT.
I've been through quite a few phones via ATT since my wife and I joined with them Sept. 08. I've tried the Samsung Blackjack II, The Motorola Q9h Global and the Samsung Epix i907. I just couldn't find a phone that I was really happy with. Out of the ones mentioned, the Q by far was the best unit until my wife and I decided to give these Blackberries a try. After two days of having this phone, not only am I hooked, but I would not give this phone up for anything. I have to give RIM a lot of credit because it takes a really good phone to satisfy me.
Pros:
1. User Interface- very slick and sharp
2. OS performance- very quick and peppy, little to no delay between applications
3. Handset/Earpiece- The loudest, sharpest and clearest audio I've ever heard in a phone.
4. Speakerphone- Great volume and clarity
5. Voice command- Precise and very accurate
6. User Customization- The best in it's class. I've never seen a phone with as many options as this one.
7. BlackBerry Messenger- Since my wife and I both have the phone, this really comes in handy
8. Battery life- Using Bluetooth, data and running multiple apps, the battery holds it's own and provides a lot of uptime between charges.
9. Wifi- Haven't used it because I have a data package, so I can't comment on this right now
10. Email Setup- Very easy and user friendly to link your personal and corporate email accounts
10. I could go on and on, but I'd be here forever. Just go and give this phone a try and you'll see what I mean.
Cons:
None to mention, this phone shines in every way. This phone is next to perfect!
Nice Phone but no GPS

This is a nice phone, but I already knew that after having a Blackberry Curve 8300 before. The Amazon description is misleading since it says the phone has GPS. It has WiFi, but no GPS. If I had known that I would have gotten the GPS model (since that would have been more useful to me) or gotten the BOLD.
Amazon needs to fix the description on this item.

Another great phone from BlackBerry. I upgraded from a BlackBerry 8700c, and I love my new phone. The trackball is much easier to use than I expected. The phone is thinner and lighter than older BlackBerry phones. I also like that this BlackBerry has a camera and the ability to shoot video (although you have to insert a SD memory card to use the video feature). This phone has WiFi capabilities, but the trade-off for that is that there's no GPS so you can't use AT&T Navigator without an external GPS connection. (The new BlackBerry Curve released this year has both WiFi and GPS, which is the way it should be.) However, I still love this phone. I use the Google Maps application which pinpoints my location to the nearest cell phone tower, and has been very accurate in my experience. Overall this phone is sleek, slim, functional and easy to use. I am very happy with this phone and would definitely recommend it to a friend. My only suggestion for improvement would be to combine GPS and WiFi capabilities, and BlackBerry listened, because they just released a new Curve with both these capabilities.

In general, I am happy with my new Blackberry. What I dislike about it is that it's a bit slow. I'm not sure if it has to do with my network, or if it's the phone itself. When a new application has been installed (or sometimes when I simply restart it), the phone takes about 3 minutes to turn back on. Some applications take long to start running, and I haven't been able to install the GPS system (even though in AT&T they told me it might be an error on my device and that they can fix it in the store, which I haven't done). The Blackberry system is good and practical. My husband has the 8310 and I think it's a little faster.
